FibuSQL login
FibuSQL features
- implements the system of double-entry accounting
- easy installation on the server; clients only need a web
browser
- web interface can handle arbitrary many books; the concrete
database can be chosen at the login
- data is kept in a database; this means speed, reliability,
integrity, and proper authentication; in addition, this approach
guarantees access to the data also to other applications
- login data (username, password, etc.) may be preselected partly
or completely for a convenient login
- freely definable account tree; accounts can be added and removed
at any time (if they do not contain bookings)
- automatic maintenance of the ledger, which is always up to
date
- support for recurring bookings (every n days or months)
- statistics modules: currently there is a monthly overview over
balances and balance changes
- integrated backup and recovery; supports formats CSV and XML for
import/export from/to other programs like spreadsheets
- XML export of the ledger for report generation
- support for multiple languages; new languages can be added easy
because the strings to translate are separated from the actual
pages
- uses only validated XHTML 1.1 standard with CSS to ensure maximum
browser compatibility; The pages were tested with Mozilla (version 1.4 and
up), Konqueror, Opera (Version 6.1 and up), and MS Internet Explorer. The
latter still does not correctly process CSS, so some colors are wrong.
FibuSQL also works porperly with the links textmode browser.
- FibuSQL is distributed under the terms and conditions of the GNU
General Public License (see file COPYING), thus is free.
The following features are not supported (yet):
- combined bookings
- special acconts (tax accounts, etc.)
- explicit annual financial statement
